Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Muhammed Taha Ikiz ("the developer") covering your use of the WiFi Survey iPhone application ("the app"). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement governs the matters it covers.

2. Licence

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms and Apple's usage rules. The app is licensed to you, not sold.

3. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Redistribute, sublicense, rent or sell the app or copies of it.
• Remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the app.
• Use the app to measure or probe networks you do not own or do not have permission to test.

4. How you use the measurements

The app generates traffic on your network in order to measure it — pings and repeated short-lived TCP connections to your router. Load is deliberately capped so a home router is not overwhelmed, but the app is intended for networks you control. Using it against someone else's network without their permission may be unlawful where you live, and is your responsibility, not the developer's.

5. Accuracy

The app measures the quality of the link between your iPhone and your router and produces a score to compare one location with another. That score is an indicator, not a certified measurement. Results vary with your hardware, your router's firmware, interference, and iOS itself. In particular the throughput figure is relative to your own router's admin interface and is not a measure of internet speed. Decisions you make on the basis of the app's output — including buying equipment or changing your network — are your own.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.

8. Privacy

The app collects no personal data and transmits nothing off your device. The Privacy Policy describes this in full and forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date of the last change at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

The licence ends if you stop complying with these terms, and it ends whenever you delete the app. Sections 5 through 7 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
